بلغت الخسائر التي تكبدتها شركة الخطوط الجوية الجزائرية جراء سحب الرماد البركاني القادم من أيسلندا في الفترة ما بين 16 إلى 21أفريل الماضي نحو 220 مليون دينار وفق تقديرات أولية مرشحة للإرتفاع حسب ما صرح به رئيس قيادة العمليات بالجوية الجزائرية، الرائد بوعلام عناد، موضحا أن الخسائر غير المباشرة (البطالة التقنية، تكاليف مرآب الطائرات..) لم يتم تقييمها كليا

220 million dinars... losses of Air Algerie because of the Iceland clouds

Losses which the company Air Algérie Airlines suffered because of the volcanic ash clouds coming from Iceland in the period between the 16th and 21st of April reached almost 220 million dinars according to initial estimates expected to rise according to what announced the president of the operations command of Air Algerie Major Boualem Annad, clarifying that the indirect losses (technical unemployment, costs of storing airplanes) have not been estimated fully.

و أضاف المسؤول في تصريح للقناة الإذاعية الثالثة، اليوم الإثنين، أن عدد المسافرين الذين ألغيت رحلاتهم بلغ 19697 مسافر، استفادوا جميعهم من تعويض تكاليف التذاكر وفق تعليمات الرئيس مدير عام الجوية الجزائرية عبد الوحيد بو عبد الله، الذي شدد على عدم اقتطاع أي سنتيم منها

The official added in a statement to Radio Channel Three Monday that the number of travelers that canceled their trips reached 19,697 travelers, all of them benefited from a refund of the cost of the tickets according to information of the president general manager of Air Algerie Abdelwahid Bouabdallah, who stressed the non-deduction of any centime from them.

Equally, Boualem Annad announced that he completed the adoption of all necessary measures to counteract the phenomenon in case of its aggravation and this by means of establishing a center equipped for observing operations, including a team possessing high-level experience, especially after discovering traces of the ash in the Moroccan atmosphere this morning and which signals its approach to Algerian air space and is a matter which the spokesman did not exclude.

And in regards to the new billow of forthcoming clouds from Iceland, the president of operations for Air Algerie announced that the schedule of flights with the institution has not been affected to this time, and has not cancelled except one flight headed to Istanbul (yesterday) Sunday evening.
