Seven years after the earthquake.. victims of Boumerdes leave behind the effects of the disaster
Today is the seventh anniversary of the Boumerdes earthquake which counted among the most violent earthquakes that Algeria and the world has witnessed in the beginning of this millennium as it left behind 1,391 killed and 3,444 injured and material losses exceeded three billion dollars.
The Algerian nation hurried immediately after the events of the disaster to take responsibility for the victims, and local authorities set up tents across all the districts of the state to complete after it the establishment of 95 sites for ready housing and estimated its number more than 1,500 ready housing available throughout the sites, until their movement to appropriate housing.

The suicide bomber killed himself according to sources which preceded that reported to Agence France Presse that the explosion left behind one killed, his identity was not determined.
